Explore the journey with past athletes working through DNA Athletes and experience what it takes to develop the inner athlete in oneself that’s Built, Not Bought.
Two different athletes, same drills with different variations towards each goals ☝️
Don’t have to reinvent the wheel with your athletes and come up with the next “sport specific” exercises.
Both drills work on agility, with some tweaks tailored to an athletes sport and position. Progressions are introduced once the athlete demonstrates proper form and can handle the amount of reps and intensity of the movement.

Practice what you preach 🙏
Top speed is one of the only speed work you need in your toolbox to get faster in your sport and overall help increase athleticism.
Start with short distances and build yourself up to longer distances to handle the volume and intensity of every sprint as you progress.

It’s more than just lifting weights when it comes to working with youth athletes and more about building them up from the simplest movements before it gets complex using weights 🙂↕️
Get it right before progressing and moving up to using weights. It’ll make the transition a lot smoother and benefit the athlete in the long run.
Bonus if you can turn exercise movements into a game that has them focus on completing exercises in a controlled manner 🎮

What’s your excuse?
Locktober’s officially over. Built new habits, strengths, and mindsets across the month with still more in the tank. And still can never be bought to find a shortcut through it all.
Inspo from @joeybergles journey of defining the term LOCKED IN 🔐

Consistently capitalizing on off season training 🎾
Few clips working on power and stability from lower to upper body movements that can help with producing force through an athletes sport.
Starting slow to learn the movement pattern ➡️ building up to rapid speed to get a feel when going live and all out with max effort

What happens when you train like an athlete?
You get results. 📝 📈
Ever wonder what it takes to get a little faster, quicker, or a higher vertical jump? It’s simple. Just start sprinting, jumping, and doing your agility work!
No fancy exercises or loads of volume here. Just exercises with purpose and intensity every rep with proper recovery in between reps/sets. Unlike some team coaches that like to make their athletes run endless amount during practice till they feel like it’s enough 🙄

Stop & Go Off season🚦
Here we’re working through light movements during the off season with some progressions shown in this accell/ decell movement.
Starting from cone to cone to then an auditory reaction for the athlete to really lock in and apply the brakes, but quickly reaccelerate from a stop.

Deload to reload 🧘
Some might argue that an athlete is better off taking a whole week off from lifting pre-competition/ playoffs time to recover and not stress the body 🤔
What if I told you that continuing to lift will actually be beneficial to your sport during the season even on the weeks when you think you need to take off from working out 🤯
Here we have two separate sessions in the same week working through the same lifts but at lower weights, reps, and intensity while also having an emphasis on mobility and recovery movements through the session.

BUILDING THE FOUNDATIONS 🏗️
When working with youth athletes all it takes is the simple fundamental movements to work with and get them moving in the right direction.
No fancy exercises here just the basics from running, squatting, to balancing exercises with visual cues or games to keep the young athletes engaged but also excited to try new exercises that can be challenging!
